SAFIA - "Cavalier" (James Vincent McMorrow Cover)

James Vincent McMorrow's "Cavalier" is one of my favourite songs of the year, and attempted to cover McMorrow's voice takes serious vocals (not to mention guts). Australia's SAFIA felt they were up to the challenge and they did a damn good job. Adding quite a few electronic elements takes this song in a different direction, and the vocals of Ben Woolner are pretty spot on. While I don't think I like this more than the original, it's about as close to it as I would have guessed possible.
