Ghost Loft - "Overflow"
I can't get a firm grasp on “Overflow”. The newest track from Ghost Loft is downtempo yet remarkably poppy, which makes it stand out against anything else I've heard from the LA-based musician. I have probably listened to this song 4 or 5 times in a row now and I still can't quite figure what it is about it that I enjoy so much. It could be the extreme simple piano runs, the persistent and soothing bass line, the staccato strings, or the distorted horns. One thing I do know, however, is that hearing "you're more than enough to make me feel complete" while going through a particularly rough day is exactly what I need.
