Dirty Projectors - "Up In Hudson"

It's been over 4 years since we've last had a release from Dirty Projectors with 2012's Swing Lo Magellan and in the fall we started getting teases of new material, with longtime bandmate Amber Coffman noticeably absent. Turns out that's because she's not in the band anymore, and her and David Longstreth are no longer together. We know this, because that's the main topic of discussion Dirty Projector's nearly 8-minute long "Up In Hudson". 

Telling the tale over horns laced with quirky vocals and electronics, Longstreth documents the entirety of their relationship from courtship to the end when he is "listening to Kanye on the Taconic Parkway riding fast" while she's "in Echo Park blasting Tupac". 10 points for getting those references in.
