Volcanoes - "Up In Smoke"
While I often find myself posting songs that are heavy on the electronics, I am a huge fan of the guitar (and most string instruments, for that matter). There is something so very soothing about the sound of string instruments, and Volcanoes, a relatively new group out of the UK, has created a sound that sits perfectly in a bubble of string bliss. “Up In Smoke” uses guitars and a cello (I think?) to beautifully compliment a whimsical harmony that just feels natural. The song flows through the various instruments and leaves me feeling refreshed. I'm sure you'll be seeing more of these guys as the years progresses, and I for one cannot wait.
