The Whitest Boy Alive - "Golden Cage" (Fred Falke Remix)

How's this for a trip down memory lane? I was randomly listening to The Whitest Boy Alive a few days ago and was reminded of an old remix that I had long since forgotten about. After a bit of digging I found what I was looking for - Fred Falke's remix of “Golden Cage”. When I first heard this remix back in 2009 I was immediately hooked, and 5 (and change) years later that is still the case. This is one of the rare times that I like a remix more than the original, so much so that I sometimes forget this is a remix at all. This version feels more in line with later Whitest Boy Alive songs like "1517" as it has drastically more energy and pep while still retaining the laid-back feel of the original, which is a perfect example of how great Fred Falke can be. It may have been half a decade since I first heard this song, but it's as great now as it was then.
