Summer Fun! (June Edition) [Playlist]
Now that the weather is getting nicer, the days are getting longer, and the fun is getting...funner(?) I figured it was about time I started creating some playlists to get you through the long summer evenings and not nearly long enough weekends! These won't actually be a weekly thing - more likely monthly, but I'll try to include enough music on here to keep you busy for at least an hour or so. With that in mind, here's the first edition, just in time for the weekend. Highlights include the incredibly relaxing “Promises” from Canada's own Tep No, the xylophone-infused remix of Peking Duk's “High” remix (courtesy of Yahtzel), the upbeat synth-y “Talk Too Much” from Andy Bull, the soulful “Suffering You, Suffering Me” from Slow Club, the beautiful voice of Linying in Felix Jaehn's “Shine” (oh, and the amazing Jazz flute and sax solos), the always-wonderful Vacationer and their new song “In The Grass”, and “I'm A Fantastic Wreck” from Montaigne (one of my favourite songs of the last month). That being said, there's a reason I included all the unnamed tracks in this playlist - they're all wonderful. So this weekend, if you're relaxing in the sun, dancing the night away, or anything in between, throw this playlist on and enjoy yourself.
