Elder Island - The Big Unknown

If you listened to Elder Island's debut single What It's Worth (and if you haven't listened to it, go listen to it now), you may be mildly surprised that this is the same band. The Big Unknown, which premiered over on Pigeons & Planes this morning, is the UK group's follow-up single, and not only does it use noticeably more instrumentation than their debut, it also combines both female and male vocals. At the very least it shows these guys aren't a one-song-band, at the very best it is giving us a taste of one of my most anticipated groups for 2014.  [soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/153904581" params="color=007ccf&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_artwork=true&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /] Elder Island's self-titled debut EP is due out July 28/29th.
