I first heard Alpine a few years back when someone sent me the song "Gasoline" (if you haven't heard that one before, go listen to it now. I'll wait.) I was immediately a fan of its distinct summer vibe, and it quickly became one of my go-to summer driving tunes with its crisp guitars and clear vocals. Earlier this week the band released Foolish, the first single from their upcoming sophomore album, YUCK. Much like "Gasoline", this new track was really created with summer in mind though it has ditched electric guitar in favour of acoustic and the vocals are more relaxed and smooth. The result is that this song has more of a lounge-by-the-pool vibe, a vibe I can really never grow tired of. It may not be summer yet, but I'm confident this song is going to stick around for me until I can put it to good use on a warm summer day.
