Leon Bridges - "Coming Home"
“Coming Home” by Leon Bridges is one of the rare songs that, when I first listened to it, elicited no verbal response. All I got was a chill up my back and a serious case of the goosebumps. On my second listen, the goosebumps were still there and I was still left dumbfounded. For lack of a better way to describe it, it is real music. The kind of music you would expect to hear 50+ years ago at an outdoor dance late on a warm summer night, when the night is winding down and the band plays that *one* slow song. The kind of song that gets two people, who had made eyes at each other all night, get up from their seats, meet in the middle of the floor, and have one of the slow dances that last forever - the kind of dance that a hopeless romantic would dream of (though in my version dream I would actually be in the band but hey, different stokes). You may be transported somewhere different when you listen to this, but I guarantee it will be somewhere beautiful.
