Wulf - "Fire"
I haven't figured out what this song reminds me of yet, but at this point I really don't care. Opening with a bang (courtesy of guitars, drums, and some blues-y piano), “Fire”, from London-based trio Wulf, keeps the energy up throughout, even when the volume drops. The song is a combination of indie-rock, blues, and even a little pop. The vocals remind me of something Jack White may have done, while the instrumentals are akin to what an amped-up Tom Waits song would sound like. My only complaint is that at under 3 minutes, this song is faaaaaaaaar too short.
“Fire” is taken from the trio's upcoming debut EP, Liars, due out early next year. Pre-order your copy here.
