Purity Ring's Shrines was one of my favourite albums of 2012, so when I heard that they had a new album coming out this year I was understandably excited. Push Pull, released late last year, was a good song but didn't really capture the feelings that had initially hooked me on Purity Ring. The Canadian duo's second single, Begin Again, is another story. Megan James's vocals are as dark-yet-innocent as ever, and Corin Roddick's instrumentals are pounding, twisted, and clattering. My excitement for this album has been renewed.[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/185834928" params="auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&visual=true" width="100%" height="450" iframe="true" /]Begin Again is taken from Purity Ring's upcoming sophomore album, Another Eternity, is due out March 3rd.
