HONNE - "Coastal Love"

Every time I've previously written about HONNE I have made a point of discussing their standout act in a sea of other electronic-soul outfits. On the UK duo's latest, however, they have taken a noticeably different approach and created a song that I can't help but describe as disco-infused pop. Or at least as close as these guys can get while still retaining their signature soulful sound. "Coastal Love" is poppy, tropical, and of just as high a quality as every other song HONNE has released. When I heard they were releasing a new track I expected it to be one I'd listen to to wind down after a night out, but this is the kind of song I'll listen to beforehand to get me going. Not a bad way to start my Saturday night.
