The Knocks - "Collect My Love" (feat. Alex Newell)

The Knocks have gone full-blown disco on their newest song and I could not be happier about that. "Collect My Love" opens with a muffled production that, if I didn't know any better, could have easily been taken right from the early 70s. Soon after it starts to pick up and gets bigger and bolder, merging into a more nu-disco sound with the help of the incredible vocals of Alex Newell. Once this track gets going it shows no evidence of slowing down with the exception of the funky-as-hell bass line during the bridge. The Knocks have always been fantastic at getting people dancing (having had the pleasure of seeing them a couple of times now and they never fail to impress) and this may just be their masterpiece.
