The National - "Sunshine On My Back"

Well now where the heck did this come from? Earlier today, without any warning, The National released a brand new song called "Sunshine On My Back" - no album announcement, no tour announcement, just a new song to celebrate the digital release of Mistaken For Strangers. As for the song itself, it is as good as anything you would expect from the guys of The National (which is to say, it's very good) and features vocals from the wonderful Sharon Van Etten. This band meshes together so well, and Matt Berninger's voice is as smooth as ever as he sing “Sunshine on my back is the only kind I like/Sunshine in my brain is the lonely kind of pain.”
