Ben Kessler - "Concrete"
The more “Concrete” progresses, the more I’m infatuated with it. Building up from single guitar work, the song adds layered vocals, pulsing percussions, and flowing synths to create a beautiful canvas onto which Ben Kessler paints a story of falling for someone and the anxiety that comes along with it. In it, Kessler sings "Hold me / Tell me that you really wanna know me / I’m falling fast and it’s on me / But I’m one fall away from the concrete" which is a feeling that we can all relate to. Plus, it comes with a beautiful video directed by and starring Ethan Frank. Have a watch and listen below.
