RÜFÜS DU SOL - "Alive"

Talk about taking a trip through time. RÜFÜS DU SOL’s latest track, “Alive” starts relatively mellow with some simple alternating synths and ghostly vocals. Seems pretty on par for electronic music from the ‘10s or ‘20s. When we get some bass almost 2 minutes in, you can start to feel the song start to shift. It starts accelerating through time, and next thing you know it feels like we’re 1000 years in the future in some sort of cyberpunk-inspired future. It’s wonderful, and just in time for the weekend.
