TRISHES - "Venom"

I admit that I don’t know all that much about TRISHES, the music project from Trish Hosein. I had randomly stumbled across her Instagram account before due to some of the incredible vocal-only covers she has done of some damn famous songs, and through her IG I have learned more about this incredible and multi-talented artist, activist, and musician. Which then brings me to her latest single “Venom”. “Venom” talks about growing up with the understandable rage you would develop due to constant unfair treatment as a woman of colour. With powerful looping chants and an almost too-calm voice given the topic, “Venom” is a powerful testament to Hosein and what she can create.
