Carter Vail - "Arizona"

I increasingly get my music from TikTok these days. There is an abundance of artists, musicians, fans, aficionados, and more on the app, and none of them are shy about sharing what they love. And so when I was mindlessly doom-scrolling on there last night I stumbled across a video Carter Vail with text about how he’s finally released his latest track “Arizona,” which was playing in the background. I was immediately hooked by the simple chords on the guitar and Vail’s clean vocals, with the song only growing in depth as it continues. Whether intentional or not, the song feels like what would be a Foster the People song with a healthy dose of country. It works, and it works well.
