St. South - "Cadence"
I'll be honest: on my first listen of "Cadence", I wasn't immediately sold. Not that I didn't enjoy it - it just didn't seem to resonate with me as much as some of Olivia Gavranich's (aka St. South) other material did. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood then, because I just re-listened to it and oh my am I hooked. Gavranich's buttery-smooth voice is amplified by the equally silky beats, her own voice as background vocals, and some seriously soulful saxophone solos. This one just went to the top of my playlists.
