Jack Garratt - "Time"

Jack Garratt - "Time"

Jack Garratt is finally back with new music, and I could not be happier. After 2016’s amazing Phase, not a peep was heard of from Garratt. And considering he counts himself among Adele, Ellie Goulding, and Sam Smith as one of only 4 people to ever have won the BRIT and BBC award in the same year, his silence was all the more noticeable. It turns out that silence was because Garratt, who seemingly had so much going for him, realized he was suffering from a deep depression.

He then spent a significant amount of time converting those feelings of self-doubt and self-loathing into his now forthcoming sophomore album, Love, Death & Dancing. Being released in 3 parts (the first of which is out now), Garratt seems especially proud of what he' has created, saying that it is “the first time I’m proud of the songs I’ve made”. After having listened to the debut single, “Time”, I can safely say he should be proud of what he’s done.
